Registering your business to send and receive text messages

Mobile carriers require all business SMS users to register with The Campaign Registry (TCR) to comply with new texting regulations. These requirements apply to all businesses sending or receiving SMS.

If you don’t register SMS with TCR, you won’t be able to send or receive text messages through RingCentral. We feature a TCR SMS registration form that makes this process easy.

Understanding your TCR application status

Mobile carriers require 5-20 days to review your TCR SMS application. During this time, you’ll see the following status messages.

• Draft: Application not submitted.

• Pending review: We received your application, but wireless carriers haven’t started their review.

• Review in progress: Your application is being reviewed by wireless carriers.

• Update required: Add the requested information to your application.

• Setup in progress: Plura is setting up your phone numbers to send and receive SMS messages.

• Completed: Your phone numbers are ready to send and receive SMS messages.
